Created in 2019, Ursi was founded with the ultimate goal of bringing sustainable and genderless clothing for all kids (newborn to 5Y). We are an eco-conscious brand, driven by slow fashion culture. We create clothing for the little earth lovers, clothes that are gentle both to children and the planet they live on. Our production is ethically made in NY and our designs are inspired by Nature and the freedom of childhood. 
 
We care for the earth but also for the people that live on it. This is why we choose to work with ateliers in NY doing small production runs, where we can be very hands-on with the process from beginning to end. We believe it is important to have a relationship with the people who make our clothes, and to ensure fair wages and good working conditions. This also allows us to collect every single scrap of fabric leftover from the cutting process, upcycling them into exclusive handmade one-of-a-kind products that become heirlooms for the family who owns it. This production model supports local businesses and reduces dead-stock waste. 
 
Our collections feature timeless designs with simple and functional lines, oversized and comfortable fits to last longer and let the kids move freely. We use prints exclusively from Liberty London, for both boys and girls, because we believe that flowers should be enjoyed by everyone. We are thoughtful in choosing materials that provide a quality product and align with our values. In our collections you will only find natural fibers; organic fabrics, high-quality natural fibers, and up-cycled fabrics. Up-cycled fabrics may contain synthetic fibers or blends of natural and synthetic fibers. This practice intends to give dead stock and waste fabrics a second chance, saving them from going directly into landfills or into our oceans. 
We try to minimize the amount of trims we use, and those we do use are made of natural materials. We use wooden or shell buttons, metal hardware instead of plastic, and 100% cotton thread whenever we can. This ensures that most of our products are biodegradable, because we know that eventually everything goes back to the Earth.
