The theme of the Pitti Immagine fairs in June
Two wheels, one great passion. PITTI BIKES is the theme of Pitti Immagine’s summer fairs, taking place in June 2025, unveiled through new advertising campaigns coordinated by creative director Angelo Figus, with photographs by Alessandro Timpanaro and graphic editing by Alessandro Gori. Meanwhile, the Fortezza da Basso will be transformed into an ideal circuit blending fashion and lifestyle, thanks to the layout curated by Alessandro Moradei.

The bicycle – individual yet collective, high-performance yet leisurely, technological yet artisanal, progressive yet traditional, competitive yet friendly, futuristic yet vintage – captures the dualism of our times: a dynamism in search of balance between metropolis and countryside, nature and urban landscapes, preservation and invention, and, on a personal level, between solitude and sociability, between value and belonging.
Considering Pitti Immagine’s constant focus on contemporary culture in all its facets, the bicycle struck us as the perfect synthesis for the theme of our summer fairs. In everyday life, which increasingly intertwines with lifestyle, the bicycle plays an innovative role, far beyond the simple dichotomy of sport versus mobility. It's a movement that seeks harmony, a tandem effort that aims to bridge opposites. Sustainable, customizable, multifaceted and diverse, it opens new perspectives

SUPER BIKE Pitti Bimbo 101 rolls on two wheels
On the occasion of Pitti Bimbo 101, the PITTI BIKES theme takes on a special meaning and becomes SUPER BIKE.
Independence, freedom, balance – riding a bicycle is an important milestone for every child, truly for everyone. It marks the beginning of moving beyond the close-knit family circle, an experience of physical awareness and the start of new friendships, discovery and exploration. Two wheels that bring together design and fashion, blending street style, activewear, and personal touches. It's a skill that, once learned, is never forgotten, becoming part of one's personal heritage, whether as a simple means of transport or a deep passion, a journey, an adventure, a dream, like the bicycle in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial soaring toward the moon.

The theme of the bicycle has always held a special fascination for me. Shooting these photos was an intense experience, not just professionally but also emotionally. Watching the children pedal, laugh, move together with spontaneity and instant connection brought back a profound sense of inclusion, belonging and freedom. The bicycle is the first vehicle you can ride by yourself, the first tool for autonomy, balance, and direction. It’s not just a toy: it's a step toward independence. It’s an experience that speaks of growth, exploration and trust. Photographing those children, being among them, felt like capturing a spark of that journey.

The Campaign Location
Monte Amiata is a residential complex in Milan, designed by architects Carlo Aymonino and Aldo Rossi in the late 1960s. Nicknamed the “Red Dinosaur” because of both the color of its five buildings and their unusual shape, the complex features gardens, an amphitheater, two triangular squares, passageways, bridges and elevators. It’s a sort of utopian city inspired by Le Corbusier, complete with shops, a library, a daycare center and a gym.
