At Pitti Bimbo 100, a curated selection of books that warm the heart and spark the imagination takes center stage! Inspired by this edition's theme, FIRE, journalist Oriana Picceni presents her special collection, “Books around fire”, on display at the Fortezza da Basso.

The hearth has always been a place of connection. Around a fire, the stories that shaped our traditions were born – passed down and reimagined with each retelling, yet always preserving that spark of wonder from which they emerged. Stories are born from a flame of imagination and, in turn, become sparks themselves – igniting passions, feeding curiosity, and pointing us toward unexplored paths.

With “Books around fire,” Oriana Picceni envisions a symbolic hearth where readers of all ages can gather to read, browse, share, and immerse themselves in the magic of storytelling.
