United by two decades of collaboration and the bond of family,  Elisha Ruesch and Nguyen Nguyen use their collective vision and passion to breathe life into every product. With a Neuroscience PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Ruesch blended his academic prowess with a deep passion for classic vehicles. Nguyen graduated Ho Chi Minh City University with a Masters in Fine Arts and infuses the brand with his artistic flair and design sensibilities.

The duo's journey began in the world of vintage vehicle restoration with a love for vehicles made prior to 1970. Their Zurich-based business, with operations in Vietnam, gained acclaim for specialised sales and meticulous restoration, setting the tone for our hallmark of quality and craftsmanship.

Stepping into parenthood, the pair recognised the transient nature of modern toys. Witnessing the lack of longevity and material quality, they were inspired to challenge the plastic toy world. Their combined experiences culminated in the creation of their inaugural product, the PRIMO scooter. Today, Amboss-toys stands for enduring and high-quality children's ride-on vehicles that provide joyous play whilst capturing the essence of classic vehicles.
