And the Kid’s Wear Magazine Ecoethic Award goes to... Infantium Victoria and Ligne Noir Enfants!
Uncertain between these two brands, Kid’s Wear Magazine couldn't do other than conferring the prize to both of them, chosen among all the Pitti Bimbo 91 brands on Pitti Connect for their green choices and eco-sustainable collections,
Infantium Victoria, which was founded in 2014 by Julia Gaydina and Dinie van den Heuvel, made of organic and vegan materials, sustainable production and distribution its main core. In 2018 this fully organic label became the first children’s fashion brand to win the Peta Vegan Fashion Award.
Kid’s Wear Magazine wanted to award also the effort Infantium Victoria put in the presentation of its SS21 collection. During the lockdown, Julia and Dinie shipped their garments to children who could wear them and be portrayed in homemade pictures and videos, delivered to trade and buyers. So that a perspective of fitting and styling could be preserved even through a virtual communication.
The collection is offering a broad selection of everyday summer essentials - tops, shorts, biker shorts, caps paired with leisure wear favorites like summer party dresses and dungarees, in signature's black, paired with a vast array of colors: off-white, beige, baby blue, mint, pink, royal blue, terracotta.
Ligne Noir Enfants is an Italian brand specialized in cruelty free "only knitwear" collections. Davide Gugliemin, the founder, every season is carefully committed to the eco-friendly ethic: there's no heavy metals in dyes and materials come from biological agricolture. There's so much creativity in the label's knit garments. Classic styles mixed with unconventional ones: warm and soft items in bright colors. The SS21 highlight is the double breasted oversized jacket in checks.
As previously announced, both the winners will be featured in a special editorial for the next issue of kid's wear Magazine, vol.51 coming out in January 2021.
