La Foresta Magica (La Forêt d'Elzéard), by Géraldine Elschner and illustrated by Fréderick Mansot (Jaca Book/ Editions L’Élan Vert)

In this book, the colors and atmospheres of Provence tie together the plot of The Man Who Planted Trees by Jean Giono with the most intense canvases by Van Gogh, which act as backdrops to the story. And it is precisely the colors and material brushstrokes of the Dutch painter that inspired us to offer you some ideas for the next autumn-winter wardrobe, drawing upon the vital energy of nature, from golden wheat fields to starry skies. It is not known whether the story of the shepherd who planted trees is fact or fiction, but, after all, it is too beautiful not to believe it. And not to be inspired.
If you're looking for ideas, check out the gallery below, where you can find some inputs from me:
Reminiscent of the yellow of Van Gogh's famous sunflowers, the pull tricot by Canada House
Contrasts of color and retro design for C’era una volta, clothes, immersed in the poetry of a wheat field, like those so dear to the Dutch painter;
Small flowers and lavender touches punctuate the Fina Ejerique's romantic dress
The colors of the forest for the L’Orsobruno sweaters are a perfect reference to the painting Trees and undergrowth
The different shades of blue of Van Gogh's starry and stormy skies are found in the shirt by Wooly Organic

While the knits of the Kids on the moon knitwear recall the materiality of Van Gogh's brushstrokes on his canvases
