Former fashion director of Esquire Spain, Chabela Garcia is now a very successful fashion stylist and has numerous collaborations with several well-known fashion brands. Chabela is also the mother of two children, seven-year-old Lucas and four-year-old Javi.
Did Lucas's arrival change your habits, your style?

For sure.
My first son changed everything: my lifestyle, my work and also my style.
I started choosing more comfortable outfits. Specially during the first months of maternity, when you need to be comfortable for breast feeding. You also realize that a baby gets everything dirty!

When Javi (my younger son) was born, things changed too, but less drastically since you already have more experience.
And for Javi?

Lucas, my older son (7 years old) isn’t vey picky about clothing. But Javi, who’s four years old, seems like he’s going to be a fashion addict. He discusses his outfit for school almost on a daily basis. He always has an opinion and makes me change his outfits.
How do you shop for them and yourself?

I'm a fashion stylist so I basically spend my days in stores and showrooms.
But during that time I'm focused on work so I prefer to do my personal shopping mostly online when I'm relaxed at home. I mostly choose the brands I trust. The most complicated part is the shoes. They grow so fast that you have to change them every three or four months. They also destroy them very easily, no matter how good the quality of the shoe is.

What does your home look like? Their bedroom?

It’s full of toys and the walls are covered with a mix of contemporary artists my husband and I like but mostly posters of their favorite things (from solar system and world maps to dinosaurs and Pokemon). With 7 and 4 years old respectively, they already have a marked personality.

How are you organized for going out?

Life gets messy and we organize ourselves as good as we can. They are two very active boys and they need to release their energy. On the weekends we spent most of the time outdoors, playing sports. Sometimes we get a nanny that allows us to spend some quality time as a couple.
