#Pittifriends #Littlechats – Chiara Bidoli, STYLE PICCOLI
Chiara Bidoli, STYLE PICCOLI's editor-in-chief, told us about the role that play has and has had in her life. At home - her childhood's dolls and her son's "reading den" - and at work, where a playful gaze is a tool that helps to know and learn.

How do you play today?
Thanks to my son Pietro, I play all the tomboy games, football and rugby included. But we also wrestle on the bed, we play guards and thieves and every sport you can imagine, from skiing to cycling, tennis, and basketball, trying to keep up with my child's tireless energy. When I manage to "stop" him, we spend hours making up fantastic worlds, regularly destroyed by invasions of dinosaurs, or building "reading dens" with cushions, cuddly toys, lamps ... and of course books, inside the house or on the balcony.

How did you use to play?
I loved playing with dolls and Barbies, and I spent entire days inventing fantastic stories and scenarios for my characters. My afternoons were then marked by ballet classes, even though it was more about a great passion fueled by strict discipline rather than play. When I was in elementary school, I had a lot of fun creating and staging theater performances. The audience was my family and friends. Over the years, I had developed respectable costumes and sets. After all, directing a magazine has a lot to do with the world of stories and the organization of theater plays.

What is the playful part of your work at Style Piccoli?
Style Piccoli is all play. We share our perspective with children who play, explore their surroundings, nurture their skills, and learn to relate. For them and for us, to play means to use imagination, learn, feed culture and curiosity, empathize, share, decode the world, and build personality. Through our playful and curious eye for things, we also want to give parents ideas and inputs to educate their children about "beauty" and values such as kindness and courage.
