Two Buzz Europe brands are participating in the Pitti Bimbo project "I Want to Be Green": Pehr and Tikiri.
Pehr was born in Canada from an idea of two friends: to create designs that would represent the right combination of quality, attention to details, and sustainable production. Their accessories for the bedroom, small toys, and textiles capture childhood's magic, beauty, and simplicity. Everything is responsibly and ethically handcrafted in India using only high-quality materials, such as GOTS certified organic cotton, synonymous with less polluting and more sustainable production. The storage baskets are made of 100% durable cotton canvas. The crib mobiles are ethically hand-made in wool. All dyes are AZO-Free. Pehr also collaborates with organizations dedicated to supporting women's education in developing countries.
Tikiri, on the other hand, was founded in Sri Lanka. It is the first brand of natural rubber toys to have obtained the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) certification, which certifies the use of 100% natural rubber and ensures materials originate from responsibly treated plantations. Tikiri's small toys are hand-made and printed with vegetable pigments and packaged in recycled paper and soy ink. The inside of the cotton puppets is made of recycled Pet. And each item is certified to European safety standards per Europe EN 71 Standard and US toy Safety Standard ASTM F963. In addition, they are odorless and non-toxic, without Phthalates, PVC, BPA. But Tikiri's focus isn't just on sustainability and safety. The chosen materials combine texture, touch, and personality in a unique way to stimulate children to discover the wonders of the world around them.
